Technology often plays a key role in experience, and while development may be a priority for designers and clients, I have found that making the best provisions for the support infrastructure for AV media and exhibit lighting is often an afterthought.   However, once you have created enough custom structures, art installations and gallery exhibits that feature all types of these components, making accommodations for them on the front end becomes self evident and a design priority.
