This exhibition celebrated a two year conservation effort for Thomas Eakins’s masterpiece The Gross Clinic. The exhibit design utilized saturated red fabric panels juxtaposed with a deep green wall treatment that created a dramatic yet intimate feel in the gallery. Other works by Eakins and a gallery dedicated to the conservation process as well as a 20 minute documentary were also part of this unique exhibit.
