HORSE & MAN ARMOR PEDESTAL

2009

This 8 million dollar acquisition came to the PMA in 2009, one of only a few surviving horse and man armor sets from the period.   The pedestal design was comprised of stained solid wood and rift cut oak plywood.  The base included an integral cart to facilitate mounting the armor for display.  These objects are now the centerpiece for the Arms & Armor galleries at the PMA.
