Art Guild’s new electricity cluster of exhibits at Telus Spark Science Museum is one of the few places you can safely experience the sensation of an electrical current passing through your fingertips! Get Shocked is one of five interactive exhibits created to encourage user experimentation and promote an understanding of energy and its systems.
In addition to Get Shocked, The AGI Interactives team developed two working telegraph tower exhibits that allow users to transmit, receive and translate Morse code messages. A communal cell phone battery charging station exhibit lets museum visitors charge their cell phones through physical activity using custom bicycle and hand crank generators. AGI also fabricated a custom enclosure for an electronic dance floor exhibit, and generated a series of info graphic exhibits depicting large scale electricity infrastructures intended to educate visitors on themes such as power usage in the home and deciphering resource allocation associated with their electricity bills.
